One of the hardest things to make when creating a realistic exterior scene is creating believable grass. Peter Guthrie has an article which shows the process he uses to create great looking grass. It's actually really simple and easy to do. I recommend anyone who does exterior renderings to give it a shot.
I stumbled upon this project the other day and all I could say was wow. If you want to see how to seamlessly integrate a home with its environment this is a great example. The materials used around the house are more than just beautiful, they work with their surroundings.
The contemporary design is also magnificent and a great source of inspiration. It seems simple and effortless which is where all the beauty comes from.
